Niko Winkel, communication manager in the Netherlands for Live Now Foundation

"Live Now Foundation offers a beautil opportunity to have a great volunteer experience in terrific environmenet. And, on top of this: you get to know and contribute to a great project!!"
At the end of 2015 I met Albert van Beek. He was looking for partnerships working towards improving the possibilities for contributions from volunteers and interns to his great Live Now projects in Ghana. In April 2016 I went to Tinkong to visit the Live Now projects for the first time. In Tinkong I met Henry Dekyem, the local manager, and all the people working in the Live Now Clinic. This visit also learned me about all the future plans of Live Now Foundation.

Home in Holland, after this visit, we created the GoGhana umbrella project. Our aim is to build a bridge between the development projects in Ghana and a fruitful intercultural encounter with termporary participation from volunteers and interns from Holland and other countries.
Ever since May 2016 I've visited Tinkong yearly, sometimes even twice per year. The aim in the beginning was to complete the preparations for arrangements for volunteers and interns. We created this website in 2016 and we're 'in business' since. We have great opportunities for volunteers and interns and have had volunteers on a regular basis over the last years. But, most important: we do it the proper way! Sustainable cooperation with volunteers, no commercial motives; everything is transparant and according to the best ethical standards.

It's all about quality, not about quantity! That is the only energy that drives me.
